ROC Launch April 03

I didn't fly anything, but I did take a couple photos.  Not exciting or anything, just people photos showing what was going on when the W was blowing and when it wasn't.  Enjoy.

Whoops.  We realized that the motor mount in No Sniveling was a little tight, so some sanding was in order.  We eventually rectified this problem and successfully installed a Hypertek L625 into the rocket. sanding_the_mmtsm.jpg (147667 bytes)
All dressed up and nowhere to go... we got the rocket completely prepped and then the wind kicked up.  It didn't die down for the rest of the day, so No Sniveling was safed and taken apart. ns_all_dressed_up_nowhere_to_gosm.jpg (108860 bytes)
Dave Griffith and Wayne Mrazek prepping an experimental RATT Works hybrid with a paper fuel grain.  This one burned beautifully with several mach diamonds visible in the flame.  That's my friend Lisa over in the corner, trying to escape the photo :). dave_wayne_prepsm.jpg (37259 bytes)
Wayne Mrazek holding the second RATT Works test motor, using Aluminum Hydride as a fuel.  This one sputtered and chuffed a little bit, but then it ROARED for several seconds.  Another excellent RATT Works creation. wayne_with_i80sm.jpg (123712 bytes)
